The 2007-08 Term produced several important opinions from the U.S. Supreme Court, including Boumediene v. Bush (habeas corpus for Guantanamo detainees), Baze. v. Rees (constitutionality of lethal injection), District of Columbia v. Heller (Second Amendment), Kennedy v. Louisiana (capital punishment for child rape), and Crawford v. Marion County Election Board (Indiana voter identification law), and many others.
Mr. Coleman is currently a partner at the Austin office of Yetter, Warden & Coleman, L.L.P. He previously served as Solicitor General for the State of Texas and also served as a law clerk to Justice Clarence Thomas and Chief Judge Edith H. Jones. Mr. Coleman has argued six cases before the Supreme Court. Mr. Dawson is also a partner at the Austin office of Yetter, Warden & Coleman, L.L.P. He previously served as a law clerk to Justice Anthony Kennedy and Judge Ed Carnes of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
