Eric Murphy was appointed State Solicitor for the Ohio Attorney General’s Office in 2013. As State Solicitor, Mr. Murphy represents the State of Ohio on the state’s major appeals, such as cases in the U.S. Supreme Court, the Ohio Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Mr. Murphy previously was an associate with Jones Day, a law clerk to Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy, and a law clerk for Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Mr. Murphy has served as the president of the Columbus Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society.
