The Judge Kavanaugh I Know

Madison Lawyers Chapter

A Conversation with Attorney Rebecca Taibleson

Moderated by Ryan Walsh, Chief Deputy Solicitor General,

Wisconsin Department of Justice

On July 9, President Donald Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to become an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, filling the vacancy left by the retirement of Anthony Kennedy. Over the coming months, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee will hold public hearings on Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination.

On Friday, August 3, the Madison Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society will host one of Judge Kavanaugh’s former law clerks, Rebecca Taibleson, to learn more about Judge Kavanaugh and his judicial philosophy.

Ms. Taibleson earned her J.D. from Yale Law School where she was the Articles Editor for the Yale Law Journal. She also received her B.A. from Yale University, graduating magna cum laude. In addition to clerking for Judge Kavanaugh, Ms. Taibleson also clerked for the late Justice Antonin Scalia. She also practiced law at Kirkland & Ellis. Ms. Taibleson currently resides in Wisconsin and practices law.
