Edward Blum is a visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C. He is also director of the Project on Fair Representation, a not-for-profit legal foundation that he founded in 2005. Since its inception, POFR has filed four lawsuits; three of them have made it to the U.S. Supreme Court, including two cases from the Court’s last term: Fisher v. University of Texas, a challenge to the University of Texas’s admissions policies, and Shelby Co. Alabama v. Holder, a challenge to certain provisions of the Voting Rights Act.

Mr. Blum will give us a behind-the-scenes look at Shelby County and Fisher and will discuss his plans for other conservative-impact litigation, including one that may focus on the University of North Carolina.
