Rep. Myrick serves as Vice Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, which has broad legislative responsibility, including jurisdiction over public health, telecommunications, energy, consumer protection, food and drug safety, air quality, environmental health, and interstate and foreign commerce.  Since 2009, she has also served on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, which has jurisdiction over the Intelligence community.
