Dean Erwin Chemerinsky (on the left) and Dean John Eastman (on the right) regularly appear on the Hugh Hewitt radio show as "The Smart Guys", where they debate constitutional and other legal topics of the day. Each is a renowned constitutional scholar, and frequently argues cases before the courts of appeal, and the California and U.S. Supreme Court.

Erwin Chemerinsky is the dean of the new UCI Law School. He is a graduate of Northwestern University and Harvard Law School. He previously taught at the USC, Depaul and Duke Law Schools. He is a frequent contributor to California Lawyer magazine, and has written over 100 law review articles. He has been named
one of the top 20 legal thinkers in America, and one of the 100 most influential lawyers in California.

John Eastman is the dean of the Chapman Law School. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, and has a Ph.D. and M.A. in Government from the Claremont Graduate School. Prior to joining the Chapman Law faculty in August 1999, he served as a law clerk with Justice Clarence Thomas at the Supreme Court of the United States and with Judge J. Michael Luttig at the United States Court of Appeals.
