Immigration has become the hottest topic in the 2016 Presidential Campaign and it is not just a policy or political issue.  It is a constitutional issue.  The President’s actions with respect to border enforcement have been struck down in the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, which is being appealed to the Supreme Court of the United States.  A proposal that immigration be prohibited for all Muslims has been floated.  That too has constitutional questions.  Can we do that legally?  There have been claims that “Birthright Citizenship” is guaranteed under the 14th Amendment.  This claim has been challenged by several legal scholars.  
 
Professor John C. Eastman will lead us through these issues.  Dr. John C. Eastman is the Henry Salvatori Professor of Law & Community Service at Chapman University Fowler School of Law, and also served as the School's Dean from June 2007 to January 2010. He is the Founding Director of the Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, a public interest law firm affiliated with the Claremont Institute.  He also served as a law clerk with Justice Clarence Thomas at the Supreme Court of the United
