Gamestop, Robinhood, and Regulation

Event Video

There is an ongoing debate over what caused the Gamestop-Robinhood events of recent months, and whether the events illustrate the need for more regulation, and, if so, what type of regulation. The Federalist Society is sponsoring a discussion of the legislative and regulatory reaction to GameStop.  We will be hosting former SEC Commissioner Professor Robert J. Jackson, Jr. and Steven Lofchie, a Partner at Cadwalader who recently co-authored Gamestop: Regulators Should Focus Less on “Solving the Problem”; More on “Improving the Situation”.

Join us after the event from 1 to 2 PM ET for an hour of virtual networking. In order to participate in the virtual networking, you must register.

Featuring:

  • Prof. Robert J. Jackson, Professor of Law, New York University School of Law
  • Steven Lofchie, Partner, Cadwalader
  • Moderator: Prof. Ronald J. Colombo, Associate Professor of Law, Hofstra University School of Law
