Alan Gura is a partner at Gura & Possessky in Alexandria, Va. Mr. Gura successfully argued the case District of Columbia v. Heller, where the Supreme Court held that the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to bear arms. Mr. Gura's practice focuses primarily on constitutional law.
