While serving as Assistant Attorney General for Legal Policy under President George W. Bush, Ms. Brand was responsible for shepherding the Supreme Court nominations of Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito through the Senate confirmation process.  With the recent news that Justice Stevens is retiring, the nation will once again be focusing on the Supreme Court confirmation process in the coming months as the United States Senate considers President Obama's nominee to the Court.  Ms. Brand will offer her insider perspective on the recent Supreme Court confirmation battles and her thoughts on the current state of the confirmation process.
