2023 Annual Dinner & Awards

Join the San Diego Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society for our signature event, the 2023 Annual Dinner and Awards Celebration! Get ready for an fun evening mingling with colleagues as we recognize the achievements of our award winners.

This in-person event will take place on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the Prado in Balboa Park, located at 1549 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101. Check-in and networking will be from 5:30pm - 6:00pm. The dinner and program will begin at 6:00pm.

General Admission - $100

Student Ticket - $80

Throughout the evening, we will honor and celebrate the accomplishments of the following individuals who have made a significant impact in their respective fields:

Hon. Patrick J. Bumatay, U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, will accept the Justice Antonin Scalia Award for Excellence on the Bench

Prof. Maimon Schwarzschild, USD Law, will accept the Bernie Siegan Award for supporting the Constitution as the Framers intended

Marty Kruming, SDSU School of Journalism, will accept the Herb Klein Award for Excellence in the Media
