Paul Grewal

Chief Legal Officer, Coinbase

Paul Grewal has served as Chief Legal Officer at Coinbase since August 2020. Prior to joining Coinbase, Mr. Grewal served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Facebook, Inc., a social media company, from June 2016 to August 2020. From December 2010 to June 2016, Mr. Grewal served as a U.S. Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of California. Mr. Grewal was previously a partner at Howrey LLP and served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Mr. Grewal currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Epiq Systems, Inc., a global legal services company. Mr. Grewal holds a S.B. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
