What Should We Want in a Judge?

Dayton Lawyers Chapter

Please join the Dayton Lawyers Chapter for a luncheon and discussion on judicial approach. It's been almost two decades since Arizona Supreme Court Justice Clint Bolick published his controversial David's Hammer: The Case for an Activist Judiciary. Since then, conservatives have continued to grapple with the most appropriate way for judges to approach our most intractable issues in light of stare decisis and prudential concerns. As the new federal administration begins to select potential Article III judges and there are several local seats on the bench coming open, join the Dayton Lawyers Chapter as we host Justice Bolick in conversation with Judge Matthew W. McFarland about what we should want in a judge.

Featuring:

  • Hon. Clint Bolick, Arizona Supreme Court
  • Hon. Matthew W. McFarland, United States District Judge, Southern District of Ohio
