The sudden and tragic passing of legendary Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia has created a sense of uncertainty and raised important legal and procedural questions during a hotly contested Presidential election. Our Democratic President has put forth his nomination and our Republican Senate refuses to hold a hearing to review this nominee. The question we are left with is, “what’s next?” Author and lawyer Ed Whelan will provide us his take on the interplay of this vacancy, how the Supreme Court will continue to function and the 2016 Elections.
