In our first "lunch & CLE" event of the year, we are pleased to welcome Jonathan Adler, the Johan Verheij Memorial Professor of Law and Director of the Center for Business Law & Regulation at Case School of Law, who will be speaking to our chapter about the seemingly ad hoc approach the Administration has taken in implementing the provisions of the Affordable Care Act. From granting select companies and unions "waivers" from certain of the Act's requirements, to delaying the employer mandate by a year, the Obama Administration has taken an expansive view of the Executive Branch's power to exercise discretion in enforcing its signature health care law. Professor Adler will discuss the sources and limits on this power and the Administration's take on it.
Lunch will be served beginning at 11:45AM.
We are applying for 1.0 hour of CLE credit for this event. Membership in the Federalist Society is not required to attend programs or to receive CLE credit for approved events.
You can RSVP and pay the $16.82 registration fee through EventBrite, our new event registration system.
