Prior to his career as an elections analyst, Mr. Trende practiced law for eight years at Kirkland & Ellis and Hunton & Williams.  He holds a J.D. from Duke Law, an M.A. in political science from Duke, and a B.A. from Yale.  His most recent book is “The Lost Majority: Why the Future of Government Is Up for Grabs and Who Will Take It.”
