The Chicago Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society invites you to "A Tavern Debate - Resolved: America Needs a Foreign Policy!"

Let’s be honest: the world remains a dangerous place. In the wake of losing the Cold War, Russia is destabilizing Ukraine; Hamas continues to attack America’s most reliable ally in the Middle East; ISIS has boldly executed an American civilian and threatens to establish a caliphate in Iraq; and Iran moves closer to having nuclear weapons with each spin of its centrifuges. All the while, the country’s southern border remains not only porous but also inviting, and the country has lost track of where many immigrants, both legal and illegal, ultimately reside and what they do.

With yet another anniversary of the September 11 attacks approaching, prompt action is required to ensure the security of the nation and the safety of its people. Whether you are isolationist or interventionist, “Don’t do stupid stuff” is not a foreign policy.

What are your ideas? Join the debate!
