Rex Sinquefield will talk about how the economic policy of states affects economic growth and a state’s ability to attract and retain businesses. Mr. Sinquefield will compare the data across states and discuss how policies like income taxes affect different measures of growth. The program will begin with a short reception and follow with a question-and-answer period.

Rex Sinquefield is the co-founder and former co-chairman of Dimensional Fund Advisors, Inc. His research provided the first seminal data on the performance of the financial market in the United States and he pioneered many of the country’s first index funds. He received a B.S. from Saint Louis University and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.  He serves on a number of boards includingthe Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, the Saint Louis Art Museum, the Missouri Botanical Garden, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, the Show-Me Institute, and Saint Louis University.
