Join the Chicago Young Lawyer and Chicago Lawyer Chapters for an evening of historical insight and legal philosophy as we welcome Timothy Sandefur, Vice President for Legal Affairs at the Goldwater Institute.

As we approach the 250th anniversary of our nation’s birth, Sandefur will present on his latest book, Proclaiming Liberty. In an era of growing skepticism toward the American Founders, Sandefur explores why the Declaration of Independence remains much more than a "merely revolutionary document." Instead, he argues it is a timeless charter of freedom for all mankind.

Step back into the summer of 1776 to rediscover why the principles of Adams and Jefferson continue to inspire the cause of liberty worldwide.
