Mr. Katsas is a partner at Jones Day and a former Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. Mr. Katsas has argued more than 40 appeals before every federal appellate court, including the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2009, he was awarded the Edmund Randolph award for outstanding service, the highest award bestowed by the Department of Justice. Mr. Katsas is a graduate of Princeton University (A.B. 1986) and Harvard Law School (J.D. 1989; Executive Editor of the Harvard Law Review), and was a Supreme Court clerk for Justice Clarence Thomas.
