The Hon. Angela M. Coxe is a Circuit Judge for the Fourth Judicial Circuit. She was appointed to her current judicial office by Governor Rick Scott in November 2014. Prior to that, she served for nine years as a County Court Judge for Duval County, having been appointed by Governor Jeb Bush in 2005. Judge Coxe received her J.D. Degree from the University of Memphis School of Law in 1998, and received her undergraduate degree from Tennessee State University in 1995. Before becoming a judge, Judge Coxe served as an Assistant State Attorney in the Fourth Judicial Circuit. During her tenure in the State Attorney’s Office, she served on the Homicide Team, the Special Assault Division, and the Repeat Offender Court. Judge Coxe serves on faculty of the Florida Judicial College which is tasked with educating and training all of Florida’s newly elected and appointed Judges. She has also served on the faculty of the Prosecutor/Public Defender Training Program at the University of Florida College of Law.
