Michael Bindas has been a litigator with the Institute for Justice since 2005, representing plaintiffs fighting for property rights, freedom of speech, and school choice. He is a graduate of the West Point Military Academy and the University of Pennsylvania Law School; before joining IJ, he clerked for Judge Rhesa Hawkins Barksdale of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and practiced law at Perkins Coie LLP.

Ben DeGrow has been a policy analyst with the Independence Institute since 2003, focusing in the areas of collective bargaining, teacher unionism, teacher employment, and school finance. He has authored numerous papers and issue briefs on education policy, and he regularly presents to national conferences, legislators, and community groups. He holds a B.A. from Hillsdale College and an M.A. in History from Pennsylvania State University.
