Civil juries have long been a fundamental part of the American legal system, but they have been subject to substantial criticism.  Should our legal system maintain jury trials for civil cases?  Join us for a debate between Shanin Specter, one of the country's most successful plaintiffs' lawyers, and Professor Renée Lettow Lerner, the Donald Phillip Rothschild Research Professor of Law at the George Washington University Law School.  Specter will defend the civil jury while Lerner will argue for its abolition.  Keith Harrison, a partner and the co-chair of Crowell & Moring's Litigation Group, will moderate.
