  • Misha Tseytlin, Solicitor General, Wisconsin

Misha Tseytlin began his role as Wisconsin's Solicitor General in November 2015.  Mr. Tseytlin is the first person to hold the position after the Wisconsin Legislature created it in June 2015.  The office sits within the Wisconsin Department of Justice and assists the attorney general with high-profile lawsuits on appeal.

In just a few short months, Mr. Tseytlin has been actively working on a number of high-profile cases from a challenge over Obama's Clean Power Plan to defending the state's food assistance program.  On April 13th, Mr. Tseytlin will discuss the role of Wisconsin's Solicitor General and give us a briefing on issues his office is working on.

Mr. Tseytlin's prior experience includes serving as General Council in the West Virginia Attorney General's Office where he specialized in litigation challenging overreach by the Federal Government.  He has extensive experience clerking on the court having served as a former law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, as well as for two prominent judges on the Circuit Courts of Appeals.
