Private individuals are allowed to file antitrust suits against corporations. However, it is not always clear what sort of relationship must be the basis of a legitimate complaint. In Apple v. Pepper, the Supreme Court considered the question whether consumers could directly sue Apple for a surcharge on apps in the iPhone store, or whether only the app developers had the right to file such a suit.
