Here is an excellent and concise paper explaining the security clearance process at the White House, and raising  insightful questions, by Matthew Heiman and Jamil Jaffer of  the National Security Institute at George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School. Matthew and Jamil are also members of the Executive Committee of the Federalist Society’s International & National Security Law Practice Group.  I highly recommend reading and sharing it.
