Bill served as the 36th Attorney General of Florida from 2007-2011. During his term of office he led the challenge by a large group of state attorneys general to the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act, positioned Florida as a national leader in the fight against child pornography and internet child predators, and championed a wide range of consumer protection causes from claims coming out of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill to combatting mortgage fraud and Medicaid fraud. Since developing, advocating for and gaining enactment of a law in Florida capping contingency fees in state litigation outsourced to private attorneys, Bill has championed enactment of similar Transparency in Private Attorney Contracting legislation in many other states.
As a member of the Florida Cabinet, Bill was one of only four statewide elected officials who shared executive power over the state pension fund, the Financial Services Commission (insurance, banks and securities), the Division of Bond Finance, the Department of Revenue, the Land and Water Adjudicatory Commission, the Florida Highway Patrol and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
A Republican, Bill represented Florida’s 8th Congressional District in the US House of Representatives from 1981-2001, serving on the Judiciary, Banking and Financial Services and Intelligence Committees. He held a number of leadership positions including Chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime; Chairman of the Subcommittee on Human Intelligence, Analysis and Counterintelligence; Vice Chairman of the Banking and Financial Services Committee; Ranking Member of the subcommittee overseeing the Federal Reserve; Founder and Chairman of the House Task Force on Terrorism; and served as Vice Chairman of the House Republican Conference for three terms. He was one of 15 Members selected to serve on the House Committee to Investigate the Iran-Contra Affair and was a House Manager for President Clinton’s impeachment trial.
Since 2013, Bill has served as Chairman of the Republican State Leadership Committee, a Section 527 organization dedicated to gaining and maintaining Republican control of state legislative bodies across the country and electing Republican lieutenant governors and secretaries of state.
Bill served on active duty in the US Navy from 1969-1972, and in 1992 retired from the Naval Reserve as a Commander, having served 23 years as an officer in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG). Prior to his election to Congress he was a litigation partner with the Orlando law firm Pitts, Eubanks & Ross. After retiring from Congress in 2001 until assuming office as Florida Attorney General in 2007 Bill was a partner with Baker & Hostetler, LLP. He was Chairman of Healthy Florida Foundation which in 2003 held a series of five professionally facilitated retreats with over 100 delegates representing a cross section of healthcare stakeholders who analyzed America’s health care delivery system, reached consensus and published 14 recommendations for reform. In 2005-2006, he served as a member of the State University System of Florida Board of Governors.
Attorney-Adviser, Office of Legal Counsel, U.S. Department of Justice
Kristin Shapiro currently serves as an attorney in the Office of Legal Counsel of the Department of Justice. Prior to joining DOJ, Ms. Shapiro served as an Assistant General Counsel of the U.S. House of Representatives. She received her law degree from Northwestern in 2009, where she graduated magna cum laude and was second in her class. After law school, she clerked for Judge Alex Kozinski. Prior to joining the House, Ms. Shapiro was an associate at Williams & Connolly, where she litigated numerous cases in the Supreme Court and federal courts of appeal and district courts. Ms. Shapiro is also a senior fellow at the Independent Women's Forum, where she has developed a budget-neutral proposal for a federal parental leave policy upon which multiple congressional bills have been based. Ms. Shapiro's commentary has been published by the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.

Greg Grisham has over 25 years of successful experience counseling and representing employers in all aspects of workplace law in Tennessee and across the United States.
He has helped employers avoid claims, charges and lawsuits with a focus on preventative practices. Preventative practices include counseling in situations involving discipline, termination, demotion, promotion and other workplace changes in the terms and conditions of employment, harassment investigations, wage and hour compliance, FMLA Compliance, Reasonable Accommodation assessment, supervisor training and the review of employment policies and procedures. In addition, Greg's practice includes the representation of business entities subject to Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act in Public Accommodation cases.
Greg has successfully litigated hundreds of administrative charges, employment lawsuits, and arbitration demands on behalf of employers, including federal and state law claims alleging discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, defamation, invasion of privacy, breach of contract, wage and hour violations and ERISA violations, among others. He also represents employers before the National Labor Relations Board in unfair labor practice proceedings. He represents employers in the enforcement of post-employment restrictive covenants such as non-compete, non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements and related trade secret litigation. Greg's practice also includes the defense of property owners and property management companies in federal and state Housing Discrimination charges and litigation. He also advises Tennessee Public Charter Schools on education law and workplace compliance matters.
Greg has extensive experience working with insurance carriers and their insureds in the defense of EPLI claims. He is a regular speaker at public seminars on workplace law issues and has authored numerous articles on a variety of labor and employment law related topics.
Greg holds an AV Preeminent Peer Review rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected for inclusion in Mid-South Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America for Employment Litigation-Management side. Greg was elected as a 2016 Fellow to the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and has been selected to the “Top 20 Lawyers in Traditional Labor & Employment Law” list in conjunction with Human Resource Executive Magazine and LawDragon’s 2017 and 2018 “Most Powerful Employment Attorneys” lists and specialty guides. Former Congresswoman, U.S. House or Representatives
Former Representative Sue Myrick (NC-9) came to Congress in 1995 after building a successful advertising and public relations business, and serving two terms as mayor of Charlotte, NC, the state’s largest city and commercial hub. She represented North Carolina's 9th district, which covers portions of Union, Mecklenburg, and Gaston Counties.
Ms. Myrick served as the Vice Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, which is the oldest legislative committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. It enjoys the broadest legislative responsibility of any House committee, including public health, telecommunications, energy, consumer protection, food and drug safety, air quality, environmental health, and interstate and foreign commerce. In addition, the jurisdiction extends over five Cabinet-level departments and seven independent agencies.
In 2009, Ms. Myrick was selected by House Leadership to serve on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. The Intelligence Committee has jurisdiction over the Intelligence community, including intelligence-related activities of the CIA, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the National Security Agency, and other agencies of the Department of Defense (DOD), and the Departments of State, Justice, and Treasury.
From 2002 to 2004, she served as Chairman of the Republican Study Committee (RSC) , the largest voting bloc in Congress. The RSC is a group of House Republicans that are organized for the purpose of advancing a conservative economic and social agenda for America. Under her tenure, the RSC grew from 65 to over 96 members and became an influential force in shaping policy in Congress.
Ms. Myrick is the former President and CEO of Myrick Advertising and Public Relations and Myrick Enterprises. Before Congress, she served on the Charlotte City Council and was a two-term mayor of the City of Charlotte. Sue remains the first and only female mayor in Charlotte history.
She is a wife; a mother of two children and three step-children. She and her husband, Ed, have 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Congressman, U.S. House of Representatives, Arkansas's Third District
Congressman Stephen A. Womack, 61, is a native of Russellville, Arkansas. After attending K-10 in Moberly, Missouri, Womack’s family returned to Arkansas in 1973, and he graduated from Russellville High School in 1975. Womack earned a Bachelor’s degree from Arkansas Tech University in 1979 and, after graduation, was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Arkansas Army National Guard.
On November 3, 1998, he was elected Mayor of Rogers and served in that capacity for twelve years. During his tenure, the City of Rogers experienced exponential economic growth, adding $1 billion in new development with major improvements to the city’s infrastructure, retail services, and quality of life amenities.
In the Army National Guard, Congressman Womack served in a variety of command and staff assignments, including command of 2nd Battalion, 153rd Infantry, 39th Separate Infantry Brigade. Following the tragic events of 9-11, Steve's battalion was mobilized for duty with the Multi-National Force and Observers (MFO), Sinai, Egypt in 2002. It marked the first time in the history of the 39th Brigade that a battalion was deployed overseas. It was also the first time in the MFO history the US Battalion mission was conducted by a pure National Guard unit. Congressman Womack's task force received praise from the highest levels of civil and military leadership around the world and is credited with convincing Army leadership of the capabilities and readiness of the Army Guard.
Representative Womack retired with over thirty years of service from the Arkansas Army National Guard October 31, 2009, at the rank of Colonel. His decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and the Global War on Terror Expeditionary and Service Medals, and the Arkansas Distinguished Service Medal. Steve was inducted into the Arkansas Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame in 2011, and in 2015, he was awarded the Harry S. Truman Award – the highest recognition conferred upon an individual by the National Guard Association of the United States – for his contributions of exceptional and far-reaching magnitude to the defense and security of the United States. In 2017, he received the Department of the Army Decoration for Distinguished Civilian Service – the highest award that may be bestowed upon a civilian by the Secretary of the Army.
In the House, Congressman Womack serves as Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee. He also serves on the House Appropriations Committee and is a member of the Whip Team and various caucuses.
