The Brave New Supreme Court and the Politics of Nominations

Please join the SF Federalist Society on October 18, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. for an evening with Ilya Shapiro at the historic Villa Taverna in San Francisco.  The discussion will be moderated by Steven F. Hayward of the Institute for Governmental Studies at UC Berkeley and Berkeley Law School.

 

Mr. Shapiro will share insights on Supreme Court nomination politics and their impact on Court's recent and upcoming term, with particular focus on the public discourse surrounding the confirmation of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and Mr. Shapiro's own experience becoming enmeshed in a toxic fight at Georgetown Law School over his commentary on President Biden's nominating criteria.
