Please join the Birmingham Lawyers Chapter of The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies for a lunch discussion with special guest Terry Meyers from Deloitte about causes, current status, government bailout programs and investment strategies in the current capital markets.
Terry is a Director with Deloitte Tax LLP and has over 30 years of public accounting experience including more than 20 years of extensive transaction based experience in capital markets transactions including asset securitization, risk management and financial products and the related tax, accounting and business considerations of issuers and investors. Terry is regularly called upon to consult with banking, mortgage REIT, mortgage banking, finance company, hedge fund and other investment management clients. He specializes in the US tax accounting and related rules for performing and non-performing debt instruments, distressed debt, asset securitization and finance, hedging, financial products, dealer-trader-investor characterizations, timing and character of taxable income.
