Second Annual Alaska Federalist Society Summer Social and SCOTUS Roundup

Alaska Lawyer Chapter

TBD Venue
This event is not open to the Press.

Join the Alaska Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society for our Second Annual Summer Social, featuring a Supreme Court Roundup with Jordan Lorence, Senior Counsel at First Liberty Institute.

  • Jordan Lorence, Senior Counsel, First Liberty Institute

The discussion will cover the blockbuster decisions—and other notable cases—from the US Supreme Court's recently concluded Term. Among other cases, Jordan will discuss the Court's landmark decision on birthright citizenship, its reconsideration of presidential removal authority and Humphrey's Executor in the FTC case, the Title IX decision involving participation in women's sports, the latest Voting Rights Act decision, and the campaign finance ruling in National Republican Senatorial Committee v. FEC. He will also offer broader observations on the Term's major themes and what they may mean for constitutional litigation going forward.

This will be a relaxed evening of discussion, Q&A, drinks, and conversation with members of Alaska’s legal community.

Registration:

Members: $25 | Non-Members: $35

Drinks and light fare will be served.

Space is limited—advance registration required.
