The Armed Services Legal Network
The Federalist Society is pleased to announce the launch of the
Armed Services Legal Network.
- This group joins our highly successful Practice Groups and Networks to broaden our programming and further serve the legal community by providing a dedicated forum for thoughtful, balanced discussion of the legal and policy issues affecting the armed forces, veterans, and the broader national security community.
- The Armed Services Legal Network will focus on the unique challenges and opportunities that arise in the military and defense context, including the constitutional and statutory framework governing the armed forces, military justice, civil–military relations, rules of engagement and the law of armed conflict, veterans’ benefits and related litigation, the role of contractors and private industry in defense, and the interplay between national security and individual rights.
- Through events, publications, and member engagement, the Network will bring together service members, veterans, reservists, defense lawyers, policymakers, and scholars for rigorous, respectful dialogue on the most pressing issues facing America’s military and national defense today.
If you are a veteran or currently serving JAG and would like to be involved with the Network, please email [email protected]
