Prof. Steven Hayward is the Thomas W. Smith Distinguished Fellow at the Ashbrook Center, where he directs the Center’s new program in political economy, and is also the Thomas & Mabel Guy Fellow for the Center’s Master in American History and Government Program. He holds a Ph.D in American Studies and an M.A. in Government from Claremont Graduate School. He is currently the inaugural Visiting Scholar in Conservative Thought and Policy at the University of Colorado.

Mr. Hayward is a regular contributor to Power Line, a conservative political blog with a national following. He also frequently serves as a guest host for Bill Bennett’s national radio show “Morning in America” on the Salem Broadcasting Network, which is carried by 230 stations with an average daily listenership of 3 million. He is the author of many books including his two-volume biography of Ronald Reagan, The Age of Reagan: The Fall of the Old Liberal Order: 1964-1980 and The Age of Reagan: The Conservative Counterrevolution: 1980-1989.
