Public schools across the country are increasingly the site of debates over the role of parents in their children’s education. Loudoun County Public Schools has become one of the most visible examples, drawing national attention over disputes involving curriculum, student privacy, and gender identity policies. Using Loudoun County as a case study, this discussion will explore the tension of parental rights in public education.
