Mr. Duncan serves as General Counsel of The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, a leading public-interest law firm that works to protect the free expression of all faiths. Currently, he serves as counsel to Hobby Lobby in its challenge to the Obamacare regulation requiring employers to cover emergency contraception that can terminate a pregnancy.
Before joining the Becket Fund, Mr. Duncan served as Solicitor General and appellate chief of the Louisiana Department of Justice. He’s argued numerous appeals in state and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, and he has published a number of articles on religious liberty and church-state relationships.
