David Hansen is the president of the Buckeye Institute for Public Policy Solutions, a public policy research and educational organization that promotes the viewpoint of limited government, economic liberty, individual freedom and personal responsibility. Mr. Hansen was most recently active in tort reform and helped to pass tort reform in the state. Prior to joining the Buckeye Institute, Mr. Hansen was Managing Director of the Public Policy Service for the Ohio Manufacturer's Association. He has also done consulting work for the government and various foreign governments in democracy development in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, and previously served as the Chief of Staff in the Michigan State Senate.
