Professor Appleman, a 1998 graduate of Yale Law School, is widely admired at Willamette for her wry humor and clear-eyed reflections on America's criminal justice system.  Her last book, Defending the Jury: Crime, Community, and the Constitution, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2015.  We look forward to hearing her latest insights.
