During his talk, Mr. Bandow will discuss the complex collection of statutes governing travel visas, political refugees, residency, jobs, and citizenship. He will discuss illegal immigration from Mexico and also from other parts of the world, including Asia, due to overstaying visas. As a Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute, he brings a unique perspective on the economic, cultural, criminal, national security, and international affairs issues that our immigration policy affects.
Mr. Bandow specializes in foreign policy and civil liberties and has worked as special assistant to President Reagan and editor of Inquiry magazine. He writes regularly for Fortune, National Interest, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Times. He has also been a regular commentator on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC. His J.D. is from Stanford University.
