Does Muldrow make the NFL’s Rooney Rule Illegal?
In Muldrow v. City of St. Louis, the Supreme Court recently held that an employee alleging discrimination under Title VII must show some harm by an employer’s conduct but need not prove that the harm was “significant.” This webinar will examine the ramifications of Muldrow for certainly widely-discussed employment practices, such as the “Rooney Rule,” which requires National Football League teams to interview at least one minority coach for head coach vacancies. Another potentially applicable rule is the “Mansfield Rule,” under which law firms demonstrate progress in increasing diversity in senior recruitment and leadership decisions, considering a minimum of 30% minority candidates for such roles. Join us for a discussion of these and other affected policies.
