From 2001-2003, John Yoo served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General, Office of Legal Counsel, at the U.S. Department of Justice. In that capacity, he authored or co-authored several memoranda addressing the legal options for counterterrorism following the September 11 attack.

Professor Yoo will discuss his new book, Crisis and Command: A History of Executive Power from George Washington to George W. Bush (Kaplan Publishing, set for publication on January 5, 2010). There will be an extended time period in which Professor Yoo will respond to questions from the audience. Copies of his book will be available for purchase and signing.
