Confronting Terror: 9/11 and The Future of American National Security

The San Francisco Lawyers Chapter

Speakers:

  • Professor John Yoo, Boalt Hall School of Law, UC Berkeley
  • Dr. Charles R. Kesler, Professor of Government, Claremont McKenna College

Professor Yoo and the Federalist Society's Dean Reuter have edited Confronting Terror, a reasoned and robust discussion of the future with a collection of new essays examining the meaning of 9/11 and the law and policy of the war on terrorism. The contributors include supporters and critics of the war on terrorism, from John Ashcroft and Michael Mukasey to Alan Dershowitz and former long-time president of the ACLU Nadine Strossen.

Dr. Kesler, a contributor to the book, and Professor Yoo, will discuss the state of law and policy on national security and personal liberty.  Please join the San Francisco Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society and the Pacific Research Institute for Public Policy for this thought-provoking event.
