Judges in Arizona are selected through a hybrid of elections and nominating commissions, with the latter responsible for the appellate judges most often in a position to impact the direction of the law in this state.  Our panel members will explore the realities of our current system, what recent steps have been taken to improve our system, and most importantly, what attendees should be doing to help ensure the selection of good judges.
