Education freedom empowers families, not systems, to choose the learning environments that best fit their children: a principle rooted in individual liberty and accountability. From a legal perspective, this means advancing laws and defending constitutional rights that protect parental choice, limit bureaucratic overreach, and ensure public funds serve students rather than institutions. At the Texas Public Policy Foundation, we believe that education freedom is about using sound law and policy to restore opportunity, equity, and competition in Texas education.
