Taking Stock of the Second Amendment

The Seton Hall Federalist Society and American Constitution Society invite current law students and faculty to attend an enlightening panel discussion on the law of the Second Amendment. Current Seton Hall students and faculty are invited to attend in person, and all others are welcome to attend via Zoom (link to be provided upon registration).

There have been two landmark Second Amendment cases before the Supreme Court—D.C. v. Heller and McDonald v. City of Chicago—both of which you probably read in Constitutional Law.  This event is particularly timely as the Supreme Court recently granted certiorari on a third Second Amendment case: New York Rifle & Pistol Association v. Corlett

The panel will consist of Mr. Clark Neily, co-counsel in D.C. v. Heller, and Professor David Opderbeck of Seton Hall Law, moderated by Mr. David Stewart.  Current students and faculty are invited to attend in person, at the law school, where food and drinks will be provided.  All those who cannot attend in person are invited to attend virtually via Zoom.  Regardless of whether you read Heller and McDonald in law school (or even went to law school), this is a great opportunity to further your understanding of a hot-button issue and engage with the academy.
