Cato Institute Senior Fellow Ilya Shaprio will discuss Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin (affirmative action); Shelby County v. Holder (Voting Rights Act); Hollingsworth v. Perry and United States v. Windsor (same-sex marriage cases).
Oklahoma Solicitor General Wyrick will discuss Tarrant Regional Water District v. Hermann (Oklahoma-Texas water dispute); Clapper v. Amnesty International USA (standing to challenge FISA Amendments Act of 2008); and Adoptive Couple v. Baby Girl (Indian adoption case).
Former law clerk to Chief Justice Roberts, James McDonald will discuss the Court's criminal docket: Bailey v. United States (search warrant scope); Maryland v. King (Fourth Amendment application to DNA); Alleyene v. United States (mandatory minimum sentences); Salinas v. Texas (self-incrimination).
