Joseph Tartakovsky is the author of the The Lives of the Constitution: Ten Exceptional Minds that Shaped America’s Supreme Law (Encounter Books) and the former Deputy Solicitor General of Nevada. He practiced law with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP. Mr. Tartakovsky is also the James Wilson Fellow in Constitutional Law at the Claremont Institute and formerly a Senior Research Fellow at UC Berkeley Law School. He earned his J.D. from Fordham Law School before clerking for Judge Paul J. Kelly, Jr., U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. His writing has appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Los Angeles Times.
