This event is not open to the Press.
Come join fellow law students and lawyers from around the Richmond region for an evening happy hour reception as we kick off the school year together and continue to celebrate our nation's 250th birthday.  This is our first joint student-lawyer chapter event for the school year and we hope you will make it a point to attend.

250 Years of American Political Satire

Special guest political cartoonist, Richmond's own Steve Kelley, will join us for a brief fireside chat during the event.

Political cartoonist and political cartoons have a long and storied history in our nation, going back to the colonies' fight for independence from England. There are famous cartoons, infamous cartoons, and cartoons that captured a unique moment. And the creators behind those cartoons, satire, and humor may have had outsized influence on our nation's history. As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Republic, we're honored to have political cartoonist Steve Kelley share brief remarks on the value and impact of political satire for our nation's history.
