Michael Daugherty is the author of The Devil Inside the Beltway. It is the story of his company, LabMD, a small medical testing company in Georgia. A private cybersecurity company seeking business attacked LabMD's computer system, stole a file, and then teamed up with the Federal Trade Commission to accuse LabMD of negligently allowing leaks of client information.

Mr. Daugherty chose to fight that private cybersecurity company and the FTC, at both great financial and personal cost. His story should be shocking to anyone concerned with the abuse of government power and its use for private gain. His book reads like a novel, except for the fact that one could not make this story up. Please come hear him speak about his experience and the lessons he learned about the administrative state.
