  • Moderator Judge Duane Benton, United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit: Judge Benton began his career as a judge advocate general for the United States Navy from 1975-1979. Judge Benton went on to be in private practice for six years, and going on to become Director of the Missouri State Department of Revenue, and eventually a justice of the Missouri Supreme Court. During his service on the Supreme Court, Judge Benton served as the Chief Justice from 1997-1999. Judge Benton was appointed to the Federal bench in 2004 by President George W. Bush.
