Free Speech, Wokeness, and Cancel Culture in the Legal Profession

Please join the Charlotte Lawyers Chapter for a luncheon and discussion with David Lat. David Lat founded Above the Law, one of the nation’s largest legal news website, which reaches more than 1.5 million unique visitors each month. He served as managing editor of that publication from 2006 to 2017. Prior to that, he wrote Underneath Their Robes, a blog about federal judges, which he launched in 2004 under a pseudonym while working as a federal prosecutor. He has also written a novel, Supreme Ambitions, and currently publishes Original Jurisdiction, a newsletter on Substack about law and legal affairs with a companion podcast by the same name. He will speak about free speech, “wokeness,” and cancel culture in the legal profession.
