Mr. Gray is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  A graduate of Harvard College and UNC Law School, he clerked for Chief Justice Earl Warren before practicing law at Wilmer Cutler (now WilmerHale).  He served as White House Counsel to George H.W. Bush from 1989-1993.  More recently, he has served as U.S. Ambassador to the European Union (2006-2007).  Mr. Gray currently leads his own strategic consulting and law firm, Boyden Gray & Associates, and is a member of the Board of Visitors of the Federalist Society.
